Free Ringtone from Verizon Wireless today!

I mentioned yesterday on show #31 that Verizon was going to be giving away a free ringtone today (12/31/2006) only to anyone who sends a text message with the word "Tone" to 2007.  Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to test this out today with the help of my wife's E815.  Those with smartphones (or those without Get it Now access) are out of luck.  Once you send the text message, you get a reply saying:

"2get ur free ringtone: Go2 Get It Now on phone>Tunes&Tones>GET New Ringtone>VZW Tones>Select &Purchase song>Option 2 Redmptn Code? Enter 2007."

I figured out that while this does work, and you are able to get whatever ringtone you want, there is some discrepancy in the way you get in to do this.  I had to go through the VZW tones deluxe program to do so.  "Aquarius" here we come!!!!
